Wait, what? Brekkie in 10  minutes? During festive season? And no I’m not referring to premixed flapjack batter made at home. I’m talking a full-on restaurant quality traditional breakfast. That’s right! That’s the super fast service we got when we visited Tables at Nitida on my birthday the 24th December. If you read my blog or follow me on social media, you’ll know that I’m not one to visit popular places that has a lot of hype surrounding them. I’m more for the hidden gems. But seeing as though we’d practically been to every restaurant in the Durbanville Wine Valley, we decided to give Tables at Nitida a try.

Naturally the first thing one orders when going out for breakfast is coffee. So we started with two coffees and placed our food orders. Barely 10 minutes later our breakfast arrived. Surely it was meant for another table? Nope, one toasted ciabatta breakfast bruschetta and one English breakfast – it was our order! Our friendly, ray of sunshine waitress made the perfect suggestions and we enjoyed our breakfast while sipping our first cups of coffee which was still hot! We had two more coffees after that (decaff for preggie me of course) while enjoying the cool morning breeze.

So if a restaurant is popular it’s probably for a very good reason and it’d be worth your while to pay them a visit to see what all the fuss is about. Happy customers are always a good sign!
