I’ve been having the worst tension in my neck and back lately. No doubt attributed to the hectic year which is about to come to an end. So in an attempt to alleviate some of that tension I decided to book hubby and myself massages at the Camelot Spa Le Franschhoek Hotel. I figured that since Camelot Spa Le Franschhoek had won the Best Hotel Spa at the 2016 Thalgo Worldwide Beauty Tour they had to be good, right? And from the moment of the first email enquiry to the booking and actual treatments, they proved their worth.
So off we set last week to the picturesque town of Franschhoek for some R&R. I love scenic drives and the Cape Winelands definitely doesn’t disappoint in that department. We drove down the most beautiful little road overgrown with trees and bushes that took us to our destination set against the mountains. When you arrive at Camelot Spa Le Franschhoek you already know you’re in for a treat of relaxation. The tranquility of the entrance and gardens make that abundantly clear.
A Surprise Announcement
Upon arrival we filled in a general information form which ensures that you get the best out of your spa treatments and then got changed into our robes. After lounging around in the waiting area we were escorted upstairs by our therapists to the treatment room. I must say, I was a bit worried about my bump as essentially Camelot Spa does not offer pregnancy massages per se. They do however know what to avoid when treating an expecting mama. And yes you read correctly – I am currently six months pregnant with our first baby!
My therapist did a wonderful job of putting my mind at ease about my baby bump. She took the utmost care during my massage, ensuring that I was lying in the correct position and that the pressure applied was just right. I could literally feel my tension melting away. We walked away from Camelot Spa Le Franshhoek ready to face the remainder of 2016. Needless to say, we’ll definitely be back in the near future.
Congrats!!!!
Thank you Abby :-)
Congratulations! How did you manage to hide the boepie all this time!? You are in for the most wonderful journey of motherhood and parenthood – cheris every moment. I found my first two months of motherhood quite tough emotionally, but don’t worry about it if you do – it passes soon enough and you will feel like the luckiest happiest mom in the world! Xx
I didn’t really show up until a month ago! This pregnancy is indeed a blessing amongst everything that’s happened this year. Thank you for the kind words :-)
Oh wow! Congratulations, Gaynor! You certainly will be a great mom :)
