There are few things more relaxing than a visit to a farm. We are fortunate to have quite a few Western Cape farm stays to choose from and the bonus is that the majority are family-friendly too. Our family has had many memorable getaways at working farm accommodation in and around Cape Town; the best thing about these visits is that you get the full countryside living experience. Out of those countless road trips, here are a few Western Cape farm stays to add to your list of places to stay.

De Hoop Cottages – Robertson
View this post on Instagram
This was home for the weekend 🏡 The cutest little cottage you’ve ever seen💚
Tucked away in the Langeberg Mountains, right at the end of the De Hoop Kloof you’ll find the Laaiplaas farm – home to the De Hoop cottages. Situated on a working fruit farm, these Western Cape mountain cottages offer affordable accommodation in the Robertson Wine Valley. The restored cottages were originally farm workers’ houses and have been named after the men who are still working on the farm. De Hoop has beautiful walking trails, some of which lead to farm dams where you can take a dip in on a hot summer’s day.
