The only thing better than spending the day in Franschhoek, is spending the night there too of course. The La Petite Ferme Vineyard Suites have recently received a facelift and the results are absolutely stunning. The luxury boutique hotel and wine estate is situated at the top of the Franschhoek Pass on the slopes of the Franschhoek Mountains and offers magnificent views of the valley. With that picture in mind, I’m sure you can already imagine what a stay in one of the newly refurbished Vineyard Suites would be like…

Three months of renovations have led to the five Vineyard Suites receiving a more modern look whilst not taking anything away from the wine farm location and feel. The five Vineyard Suites – namely, the Florentine Suite, Provençale Suite, Africa Suite, Moresque Suite and Léman Suite – each boasts a unique theme which is evident in the luxury fittings of the bathrooms and wallpaper in the bedrooms. Guests are utterly spoilt for choice with views and can choose to enjoy them either in the bath or on the private terraces of the Vineyard Suites, lazing in the plunge pool or day-beds!

It’s all in the details and interior decorator Clinton Savage, along with the owners and team at La Petite Ferme, has taken every care to ensure the aesthetically pleasing outcome of the refurbishment process. Some of the many changes include; the bathrooms’ feature wall of beautiful handmade tiles, the reeds were replaced with modern white ceilings and the gas fireplaces were replaced with wood burning ones. Thought was also placed on the amenities such as, underfloor heating in the bathrooms, heated towel rails, WiFi and air-conditioning.

La Petite Ferme is also home to an award winning restaurant where you can delight your taste buds in Head Chef Kyle Norris’ beautifully presented dishes accompanied by their top-notch hand crafted wines. You can also book a Vine Orientation which includes a vineyard walk, tasting of 6 varietals and a selection of canapés to accompany the wines. Even though the estate is not part of the Franschhoek Wine Tram routes, it is situated a mere 5 minute drive from the picturesque town making it the ideal getaway for any special occasion.
